OUGD603 - Unpackaged Brief - Guide to Zero Waste research

I decided that I would compile a guide to zero waste and the philosophies of the anti-packaging stores as part of the project. It will be a good way to compile the research I am doing effectively as well as making people aware of the benefits of a zero waste lifestyle.

So I started doing some research into guides and booklets to get an idea of layout. I decided that because of the subject matter being about sustainability I was thinking of getting the guide risograph printed. I would have to use a recycled stock that is also recyclable due to the principles of zero waste of refusing anything that can't be recycled. This means it would have a limited colour palette due to the price constraints.

This guide is a perfect example of making something look good using one colour. The use of coloured stock takes away from the just black and white print. I think that I will use coloured stock in my guide as I can only really afford a two colour print. Also the use of columns and lines in this guide makes it really easy to understand and read.
